M1 Junction 10A shortlisted for the British Construction Industry Awards 2016
VolkerFitzpatrick’s, M1 Junction 10A project is a finalist in the Civil Engineering Project of the Year (£10m to £50m) category of the 2016 British Construction Industry Awards.
VolkerFitzpatrick delivered a number of improvements to Junction 10A, on behalf of Luton Borough Council, including the removal of the roundabout and widening of the M1 spur road to three lanes. These works have reduced significant queues and congestion previously experienced by road users and improved journey times and safety.
Before the awards, site visits will take place to all shortlisted projects as well as face-to-face judging by members of the 33-strong jury, made up of the most influential clients, contractors, architects and engineers in the UK.

The winners will be announced on 12 October 2016 at a glamorous ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, where over 1,300 of the industry’s elite will join for a night of entertainment, celebration and networking.
