James joined VolkerFitzpatrick in November 2022 as managing director. James has a major projects background and is experienced in both Public and Private sector work spanning the UK. With over 30 years of industry experience, James has held a variety of business leadership positions, with particular experience in Defence, Aviation, Custodial, Health, Science, Education, Residential and Commercial sector work.
Jonathan Suckling
Jonathan Suckling
Commercial Director
Jonathan has been with the VolkerWessels group since 1997. He has undertaken a number of Director roles across the group, in both the UK and the Netherlands. Jonathan is a chartered member of the RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), with over 30 years’ experience within the construction industry. He has worked on projects across the building, energy and infrastructure sectors, including leading roles in major joint ventures and frameworks.

Finance Director
Jo has been with VolkerWessels UK for 13 years, during which time she has accumulated a wealth of experience of our business and the wider construction and civil engineering industry. Jo was promoted to Finance Director for VolkerFitzpatrick in 2023 - and has represented VolkerWessels UK at various Build UK industry working groups over the years.

Divisional Director - Airside
Kevin joined VolkerFitzpatrick in 2000 and specialises in the aviation side of the business. Kevin established and continues to lead, our dedicated airfields team, offering his technical and operational expertise to deliver projects safely and effectively in the airfield environment.

Stuart Deverill
Managing Director - Building
Stuart joined VolkerFitzpatrick as managing director of our building division in early 2017, bringing with him 30 years of experience within the construction industry. His experience is varied including the refurbishment of listed buildings, high profile office schemes, new build education and technical space.

Chris Evans
Managing Director - Strategic Projects
Chris joined VolkerFitzpatrick in 2013 as managing director for our rail division and moved to become managing director for the civil engineering division in May 2014. A chartered civil engineer with a diploma in business management, Chris has 30 years' experience working on design and construction projects including HS2's C1 section and Luton DART project.

Paul Lilley
Divisional Director - Rail and Depots
In 2012, Paul joined VolkerFitzpatrick as Project Director, delivering part of the IEP Depot programme for Hitachi Rail Europe. Paul brings over 30 years of diverse experience in civil engineering, Highways, groundworks, and rail for main contractors, clients, and Subcontractor, with the added experience of the design and construction of depots over the past 12 years.

Divisional Director - Infrastructure
Deon joined VolkerFitzpatrick in 2002 and was promoted to Divisional Director of Infrastructure. With 25 years' of experience, his work has spanned the construction of roads, bridges, structural refurbishments, flood defences, ports, airfield infrastructure, industrial buildings, and developments within the energy sector.
