This accolade recognises Conor’s outstanding progress in his role and acknowledges him as a close second place for CECA Southern’s ‘Most Promising Trainee Engineer’.

Every year VolkerFitzpatrick nominates engineers who are showing exceptional progress in their careers. This year, five candidates were nominated for the awards.

David Mutter, project director for VolkerFitzpatrick said: “The competition this year was very hard fought and I am pleased to announce that Conor is a very worthy runner up. I am sure you will all join me in congratulating Conor on receiving this recognition of the exceptional progress he has made with VolkerFitzpatrick.”

Conor said: “I am very proud to have received this recognition from CECA and thank you to David for the nomination. VolkerFitzpatrick run an excellent graduate programme, which allows all engineers to develop their skills in line with their own ambitions and the business’ requirements. This is evidenced by the number of VolkerFitzpatrick nominees for this year’s award, any one of whom would have been a deserved recipient.”

The Chair of CECA presented the certificate to Conor at CECA’s annual dinner in London, on 1 November.
