VolkerFitzpatrick and VolkerGround Engineering partner to complete piling works ahead of programme on £13.5m office development
VolkerFitzpatrick and VolkerGround Engineering successfully carried out piling works ahead of schedule, prior to the construction of a £13.5m office development on behalf of J.P.Morgan.
Working in partnership, the CFA piling works were completed ahead of programme after the demolition of two existing office buildings at Foundation Park, Maidenhead.
Three hundred and twenty-seven piles were installed by VolkerGround Engineering as a programme critical operation for the circa 57,000 sq. ft development.
Scott Reynolds, Project Manager for VolkerFitzpatrick, said: “Both teams had a tight schedule to meet, with many logistical challenges, due to the site being situated within a live business park, neighbouring an aerodrome.
Thorough and consistent communication prior and during the piling programme enabled both parties to make key joint decisions, which lead to the piling being completed ahead of schedule. The successful relationship is also reflected in the quality of workmanship.”
Stuart Deverill, managing director of VolkerFitzpatrick building division, said “This is a great example that demonstrates how we can deliver an integrated and complete service. Through collaboration with other VolkerWessels UK specialist businesses, we can meet clients’ needs with a turnkey service that is truly inclusive and efficient.”
The completed building at Foundation Park, Maidenhead, will consist of a new three-storey CAT A office, featuring open plan workspaces, a full height atrium with internal staircase, and a roof terrace. The building’s façade will be comprised of curtain walling, infilled with alternating feature panels and glazing units.
This is the second project VolkerFitzpatrick has worked on at Foundation Park and works are due to be completed towards the start of 2023.
