VolkerFitzpatrick Raises Over £180,000 for Save the Children Across Three Years
VolkerFitzpatrick’s Infrastructure division, supported by VolkerStevin, is proud to announce that over the past three years, we have collectively raised more than £180,000 for global charity, Save the Children. The funds were raised through a variety of events and initiatives, with the goal of supporting the charity’s mission to improve the lives of children in the UK and around the world.
Save the Children works tirelessly to ensure children have access to essential resources like healthcare, education, protection, and emergency relief. The money raised by VolkerFitzpatrick and VolkerStevin has directly contributed to these critical programs, helping to improve the quality of life for vulnerable children globally.
Over the three years, VolkerFitzpatrick have implemented numerous fundraising initiatives including annual golf days and Christmas jumper days. This year’s highlights include several employees running the 2024 London Marathon as well as volunteers virtually walking 3,000 miles across the globe. One of the most successful events of this year was a BBQ fundraiser hosted by the Radlett Strategic Rail Freight Interchange (SFRI) team in July, which boosted the total by an incredible £7,500.
The funds raised over the three years have supported various programs that Save the Children runs, such as providing emergency food and shelter, building schools in disaster-hit areas, delivering essential healthcare services, and ensuring that children can grow up in a safe and nurturing environment.
Sarah Allen, Save the Children's Head of Humanitarian Response said: “I would like to thank each and everyone of you at VolkerFitzpatrick for the incredible fundraising efforts that you have dedicated so much of your time to, to raise incredibly valuable flexible funding for Save the Children. Raising almost £200,000 is a huge amount of money and we couldn't do our humanitarian work without funding from businesses like yourselves.”
“We are incredibly proud of our team's fundraising achievements over the past three years. The generosity and dedication of our staff, suppliers, and partners have been truly inspiring. This partnership has allowed us to contribute to vital programs that improve the lives of vulnerable children around the world, supporting healthcare, education, and emergency relief initiatives. While VolkerFitzpatricks formal partnership with Save the Children has come to a close, we remain committed to giving back and will continue to support the charity through our annual golf event and support other worthy causes. We are thankful for everyone’s hard work and are excited to see the impact that these contributions will continue to have.”
