University of Roehampton Harvey Building

VolkerFitzpatrick recently completed the extension and remodelling of a former university library building into flexible teaching space for the Department of Media, Culture and Language. Two-stage D&B project New facilities cover 43,000 ft2 on three floors 147 individual rooms providing TV, film, photography and sound production studios, editing suites and a 90-seat cinema/lecture space Courtyard was covered with a new glazed roof supported on bespoke laminated ply beams creating a new exhibition and social space Full Cat A and B fit out. Required careful logistics planning with the live university and continuous liaison during construction. Negotiated the following phase of works for the £4.3m Sir David Bell Media Centre due to the excellent relationship developed with our positive, collaborative approach.
